Joshua Hall is currently a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Arizona. Recently he was invited to play at the Soundscape Music Festival in Maccagno, Italy where he premiered new works by up-and-coming composers from around the world. He also performed at The Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival in South Africa, as a part of the Empire Woodwind Quintet.  He is past member of the University of Kentucky Orchestra, where he performed as part of the Kentucky Tribute to Lincoln at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.

In 2011, Hall was a soloist with Peter Bond (Metropolitan Opera Orchestra), performing Quiet City by Aaron Copland at the Sewanee Summer Music Festival. In addition, Hall has  attended The Vianden Summer Music Festival in Luxembourg, The Hot Spring Summer Music Festival in Arkansas, and the Bay View Summer Music Festival in Michigan.

Hall has performed with various ensembles including The Tucson Symphony, The Tucson Masterworks Chorale, The Helios Ensemble, The Waterbury Symphony, The Connecticut Little Symphony, The Bowling Green Western Kentucky Orchestra, The Hartford Chorale, and the Lexington Singers.

Mr. Hall has taught masterclasses at the University of Florida,
University Central Florida, and Central Michigan University.  He has developed studios in Kentucky, Connecticut, Arizona, and now Florida.  His students have achieved positions in regional and state ensembles, and in the Tucson Youth Orchestra.  He is currently teaching oboe, bassoon, and beginning piano in central Florida. 

As an Arts Administrator, Hall has served in many capacities.  During the Summer of 2017, he was the Associate Head Librarian at the Brevard Music Center in North Carolina. He was responsible for the 3 fully staged opera productions and the opera gala.  He was also the personnel manager for the opera orchestra.  Hall has served as Orchestra Manager of the Purchase Symphony Orchestra and the Operations Manager for the Waterbury Symphony, and was the Teaching Assistant for The Hartt School’s Music and Performing Arts Management Program.  Currently he is an intern with the Orlando Philharmonic Library.  
From marketing manager for the  University of Kentucky Bands to working in operations with the Disney Company, Hall embodies a perfect blend of artist and arts administrator. 

Hall received his Artist Diploma at the Conservatory of Music at Purchase College, Master of Music from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford, and his Bachelor’s of Music and Arts Administration from the University of Kentucky.  He has studied with Lesile Odom, Sara Fraker, James Austin Smith, Humbert Lucarelli, and the late Nancy Clauter.
